I am a software developer from Pretoria, South Africa. I currently spend my days creating software for Mac OS X, iPhone, iPad and the web at Glucode. I completed my B. (Hons) IT degree at the University of Pretoria. If you would like to enquire about my development services, please do so by using the contact form on the Glucode site.
I spend most of my time developing in Objective-C using Apple’s Cocoa framework for Mac OS X and iOS (iPhone and iPad). When developing for the web I use CakePHP, Ruby on Rails, HTML and CSS.
Business
In early 2009, I set out to create a new company called Glucode with ex-colleague and old friend, PJ van Dyk. Since we’ve started Glucode, we’ve had the pleasure of working with prominent businesses in South Africa like Media24, MXit and Creamer Media. Being the first company in to publish an iPhone app in South Africa, we’ve been able to help these companies deliver world class products on the iOS platform.
CocoaHeads, Johannesburg
I am the organiser of the the Johannesburg chapter of CocoaHeads. CocoaHeads is a group devoted to discussion of Apple Computer’s Cocoa Framework for programming on Mac OS X (including the iPhone). During monthly meetings, members present on their projects and offer tutorials on various development topics.
